HASKELL, Oklahoma -

A 25-year-old man is in a Tulsa hospital after breaking his leg in a skydiving mishap at Haskell's airport Sunday afternoon.

Muskogee County Emergency Medical Service got the call just after 3:15 p.m.

They say the man had life-threatening injuries from the skydiving accident and was flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital. A spokesperson says the man landed hard in the target area at the airport.

SkyDive Tulsa, which offers skydiving at the airport, told News On 6 the man was an experienced skydiver and his parachute was fully open when he landed Sunday afternoon.

The company declined further comment.
