MAYES COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A Pryor woman was hospitalized after a wreck troopers say was caused by driving under the influence of alcohol. The single-car crash took place at about 5:56 a.m. Sunday on County Road North 429 just north of County Road West 460 in Mayes County.

Christina Oliver was northbound in a 2006 Pontiac when the car ran off the road to the west, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The 42-year-old driver over corrected, and the car ran off the east side of the road striking a fence and a tree.

The Pontiac rolled once and landed on its wheels, the report states.

Oliver, who was taken to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition with head and other injuries, smelled of alcohol, according to the trooper's report. Cause of the collision is listed as driving under the influence.

She was not wearing a seat belt.
