A week after the Oklahoma offense struggled to do anything, the Sooners had no trouble doing whatever they wanted against Florida A&M.

The Sooners rolled up 662 yards of offense, 313 through the air and 349 on the ground as Oklahoma blasted Florida A&M Saturday night, 69-13, in front of 84,852 fans at Owen Field.

Junior Damien Williams showed his 100 yard performance last week wasn't a fluke, rushing for 156 on just ten carries, scoring four touchdowns. Brennan Clay added two touchdowns on the ground, and Roy Finch and Dominique Whaley each added a touchdown as OU averaged 8.5 yards per carry on the ground.

Landry Jones threw for 252 yards with two touchdowns, one to Kenny Stills, who had 10 catches for 120 yards.

The Sooner defense performed well once again, holding the Rattlers to 235 total yards and just one touchdown.

The performance was a comforting sight after OU scored 24 points and struggled in every area on offense against UTEP a week ago.

The Sooners went three-and-out on their first possession, but were much sharper on their second possession, driving 67 yards in five plays with Williams scoring on a three-yard run to put the Sooners up 7-0.

The OU defense had some issues with the zone-read in the first half, giving up a couple of big plays on the ground, but the Sooners didn't allow the Rattlers to mount any sort of sustained drive.

The Sooners' second touchdown was set up by a 43-yard punt return by Justin Brown. Williams carried the ball in for his second touchdown of the night, putting OU up 14-0. The two teams exchanged punts for the rest of the first quarter.

Oklahoma turned the ball over on their next two possessions, the first a Jones interception in traffic. The second turnover was a fumble by Dominique Whaley that led to a FAMU field goal that made the score 14-3 in favor of the Sooners.

On 3rd and 10 of the ensuing drive for Oklahoma, Jones found Brown deep down the sideline for a 46-yard gain. Two passes to Stills followed, and then Williams scored his third touchdown of the game. Williams displayed his speed on the 15-yard scamper, getting to the outside thanks to a big block from fullback Trey Millard, and then tiptoed down the sideline before diving across the goal line.

The Sooners got great field position inside the FAMU 10-yard line on their next possession thanks to a 62-yard punt return from Brown, and Jones found Stills for a 16-yard touchdown. Florida A&M got their first touchdown when Travis Harvey got behind Demontre Hurst for a 75-yard touchdown reception. However, OU responded with an 18-yard touchdown pass from Jones to freshman Trey Metoyer for a 35-10 halftime lead.

After the break, the Sooners continued to pound with Rattlers on the ground, with Clay carrying four times for 38 yards and a touchdown on the opening possession. After a Florida A&M punt, Williams took the first carry of the drive and went 89 yards untouched for a touchdown. A 10-yard touchdown run by Clay on the next drive brought on a flood of second-stringers and sent a lot of the crowd home happy.

The Sooners have the first of their two bye weeks in September next week before taking on Kansas State in Norman, Sept. 22.
