Firefighters Contain Grass Fire In Pawnee County; Highway Reopened

PAWNEE COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Firefighters have contained a grass fire in Pawnee County Friday afternoon.

At about 4:30 p.m. Friday, authorities shut down Highway 15 at County Road 345 as crews battle the fire.The highway was back open at about 5:50 p.m.

Officials say at one point, the fire was about five miles long and one mile wide. The smoke is now being pushed all way down to eastern Oklahoma County.
