Cowboy Wrestling Schedule Released

Oklahoma State's Wrestling schedule has been released. Under the direction of head coach John Smith, the Cowboys' 2012-13 campaign will feature 13 duals with five of those taking place in Stillwater.

Oklahoma State's Wrestling schedule has been released. Under the direction of head coach John Smith, the Cowboys' 2012-13 campaign will feature 13 duals with five of those taking place in Stillwater.

OSU's road schedule includes visits to Minnesota (Dec. 2), Oklahoma (Dec. 9), Bucknell (Dec. 17), Arizona State (Jan. 27), Missouri (Feb. 1) and Iowa State (Feb. 3), and is highlighted by a trip to New York City to compete in the Grapple in the Garden event on Dec. 16. The Cowboys will face both the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and Cornell at Madison Square Garden.

OSU will begin its season at the Lindenwood Open on Nov. 17 in St. Louis. Dual action will get underway on Nov. 25 when the Cowboys host the University of Penn. After OSU's first road match in Minneapolis, the Cowboys will have a full weekend as they host Wyoming on Dec. 8 followed by a meeting with the Sooners in Norman on Dec. 9.

The Cowboys will return home a month later for a three-dual home stand, which features rival Iowa (Jan. 13), Big 12 newcomer West Virginia (Jan. 18) and Pittsburgh (Jan. 20).

The Cowboys will begin postseason action on March 8 when they host the Big 12 dual finals. The following day, OSU will host the Big 12 tournament in Stillwater.

The Cowboys will travel to Des Moines, Iowa for the NCAA Championships beginning March 21.

OSU finished the 2011-12 season 17-1 overall and went undefeated in conference action, posting a 6-0 record against Big 12 opponents.
