Hunter Billbe reacts as his classmates give him a sendoff before his surgery.
NOWATA, Oklahoma -
A 12-year-old Nowata boy who had a bone marrow transplant earlier this years has died. Hunter Billbe contracted an infection while recovering and died Saturday, September 1 in Cincinnati.
Hunter had a rare immune system disease and was given a hometown sendoff when he left for surgery in March.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, September 8 at the Rose Hill Community Baptist Church, 12950 North 4000 Road in Dewey.
His obituary states, "Bring memories and stories about Hunter and casual dress."
