OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police have released two sketches of men suspected of forcing their way into a southwest Oklahoma City home and beating a man to death.

Police say on August 29, the men knocked on Ricky Wallice's door in the 1800 block of S.W. 19th Street. Wallice's girlfriend said the men pushed their way inside and began beating Wallice. The woman said they stole a camera, as well as some house and car keys before leaving the scene on bicycles. They were last seen heading north on Westwood from S.W. 19th Street.

Fifty-five-year-old Wallice died from his injuries four days after the beating.

Police hope that by releasing the two sketches, they will get tips as to who the two men are. News 9 talked to one neighbor who tried to help Wallice.

"I tried to stop as much bleeding as I could until the paramedics got here," said Leah John, who lives across the street. "He was laying on the couch and he was badly beaten. He was bleeding from his head.

John says she has no idea why anyone would want to hurt Wallice.

"He never hurt anybody! He was a good person," said John, holding back tears. "I just hope they catch them so we can all feel safe around here again.

Though Wallice had spent some time in jail on drug related charges, John says nothing ever happened at the house he and his girlfriend shared on SW 19th St., until last week.

Police say the girlfriend was able to get a good look at the attackers. And even though she did not know them, she was able to provide a good enough description to have the composite sketches made. Besides the girlfriend, there was also a child in the house during the attack. Neighbors say the child hid in a closet, but heard everything.

The first suspect in the attack is described as a white male in his 40s or early 50s with gray hair and gray stubble on his face. He was approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing a T-shirt, light-colored blue jeans, and black bicycle gloves.

The second suspect is a black male, about 30 years old. He was approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 145 pounds. Police said he was either bald, or his dark-colored do-rag concealed his hair. He had a dark complexion and was wearing a blue T-shirt and black jeans.
