OKLAHOMA CITY -

Two men watch their friend drown, but won't be charged with his death. Police say the three men were so drunk that one drowned and the others simply couldn't help

There was no crime committed and authorities are calling this an accident. The three men were walking along a creek near Penn and Reno when one of the men complained something bit him. He reached down, but ended up face down in the shallow water. That's when his two friends called for help.

"He apparently fell when he was in the water and after a while the other people thought maybe he had been there too long and tried to get him out," said OKC Police LT. Joann Burnett.

EMSA responded but it was too late. The unidentified man was pronounced dead a local hospital. The two men with him were arrested on unrelated charges.
