Woodward, Oklahoma -

A fire has destroyed a welding shop in Woodward.

Fire Chief Steve Day says no injuries were reported in the blaze at the welding shop at Diamond Services on Wednesday.

Day says firefighters were called about 12:15 p.m. after an employee heard something and saw the blaze.

Firefighters had to pull back at one point because of oxygen and equipment at the shop.

Day says firefighters don't know what caused the fire. Employees had been working in the back of the building earlier and were at lunch when the fire broke out.

A nearby building was evacuated and a road in front of the building was shut down for a time. Day says workers in the other building had been allowed to return.
