Man Killed In Shooting At West Tulsa Apartment Complex Is Identified

Tulsa Police, Tulsa Fire and EMSA responded to Parkview Terrace apartments, near 61st and Union Avenue about 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. EMSA said a 32-year-old man was dead on arrival.

A man is dead and police are searching for a suspect after a shooting at a west Tulsa apartment complex.

Tulsa Police, Tulsa Fire and EMSA responded to Parkview Terrace apartments, near West 61st and Union Avenue about 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

EMSA said 32-year-old Emil L. Barron was dead on arrival.

TPD Sgt. Dave Walker described the shooting suspect as a black male between the ages of 28 and 35. They say he was between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot tall, weighing between 200 and 250 pounds and wearing a dark cap and a dark shirt and jeans.

Tulsa Police's homicide unit, the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force and the Organized Gang Unit are investigating the shooting.

Walker said this is the 32nd homicide in Tulsa for 2012.
