OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City woman was arrested for allegedly driving drunk with children in her car, according to police.

On Monday, officers received reports that a woman, later identified as 39-year-old Michelle Alene Burgess, was driving drunk with her kids in the car in the 100 block of I-240.

Police were able to track down the car that was heading south on Shields near S.E. 83rd, and pulled Burgess over.

Police say Burgess was slurring her speech and had blood shot eyes. Officers found a beer bottle under the driver's seat, and Burgess' driver's license was also expired.

According to police, Burgess' 4-year-old son, 20-year-old daughter, and her daughter's 4-year-old son were in the car at the time. Burgess' daughter told police that Burgess is a "functioning alcoholic and drinks every day."

Police say Burgess had two prior DUI charges.

A breathalyzer test measured Burgess' BAC at .10. The legal limit is .08. She is being held on DUI and child endangerment charges.
