Brad Bixler and Mike Hessman each launched two-run home runs to lift the RedHawks to a 9-6 victory over the Round Rock Express Monday night in Bricktown.

The bad news for OKC came after the game when the Albuquerque Isotopes came from behind to beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, eliminating the RedHawks from playoff contention.

OKC needed to win its final two games and have Albuquerque lose its final two to earn a playoff berth, but the Isotopes took care of their business.

The RedHawks fell way behind in the standings following their 10-game losing streak in early August, but battled back to make it interesting in the season's final week.

With the game tied at 3-3 entering the bottom of the fifth, the RedHawks scored three runs in both the fifth and the sixth innings to put Round Rock away.

Jose Cisnero earned the win for OKC, allowing four runs in six innings. Greg Reynolds took the loss for Round Rock, allowing nine runs in 5 2/3 innings.

Oklahoma City will finish the season at home Monday at a special Labor Day start time of 11:00 a.m.
