The Oklahoma Sooners soccer team rebounded from a double-overtime loss to UNLV Friday night by downing Northern Arizona Sunday afternoon, 3-1, in the final game of the Rebel Classic of UNLV.

The Sooners trailed 1-0 on a Northern Arizona goal in the eighth minute, but the Sooners tied the score at one when Zoe Dickson put the ball in the net in the 22nd minute.

After halftime, OU kept the pressure on, with Renae Cuellar scoring her fourth goal of the season to give OU a 2-1 lead in the 57th minute.

Amy Petrikin's first goal of the season in the 70th minute put the game away for the Sooners.

"I thought we showed great courage, character and persistence today against a tough NAU team, along with the weather challenges and the fact we went a goal down," said OU head coach Matt Potter. "At times, the team performed with great purpose as we possessed the ball better and created opportunities throughout the game."

The Sooners host No. 3 Oklahoma State on Friday at 7 p.m. in the first edition of Bedlam of the season.
