ALFALFA COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A man from Nash, Oklahoma, was critically injured after he crashed his ATV Saturday afternoon.

It happened at 3:45 p.m. Saturday just west of Lambert in Alfalfa County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2010 Polaris 850 ATV driven by 52-year-old Anthony Martin was southbound in a canyon when it went airborne. Martin was thrown off the vehicle and landed about seven feet from the ATV.

Martin was then transported by Eagle Med to OU Medical Center in critical condition, with head, trunk internal and arm injuries.

Troopers say Martin was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
