NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A man was killed after he was struck by a train in Norman Saturday morning.

It happened just before 11 a.m. Saturday, at the railroad tracks located in the 300 block of E. Boyd Street in Norman, according to the Norman Fire Department.

It's not known why the man was on the tracks when he was struck.

Police are not releasing the man's name until his family has been notified.
