El Reno Cattle Truck Fire Kills At Least Eight Cows

EL RENO, Oklahoma -

At least eight cows are dead after a fire consumes a cattle trailer in El Reno on Wednesday morning.

According to the Canadian County Sheriff's Office, a driver hauling around 20 cattle had a blow out near North Banner Road and Jensen Road East. The blow out of one of the tires sparked a fire.

The driver escaped unharmed and then tried to free the cattle. All but eight of the cattle made it out. The eight either died in the fire or had to be put down.

Police rounded up the cattle that escaped.
