A McAlester man is charged with one count of sexual battery following an incident at his home involving an Oklahoma State University extension office employee earlier this month.

Court records state the employee went to the home of Kevin Jones, 49, to talk to him about nutrition when Jones sat next to her and began touching himself.

As the employee attempted to leave, the affidavit states, Jones grabbed her in several places and gave her a hug.

After running from the house, the woman called McAlester Police.

Police interviewed Jones who said he just wanted to be close to her so he could look at her and he was just giving the woman a "good Baptist hug."

He was arrested and booked into the Pittsburg County jail where he remains on a $50,000 bond.

Jones is scheduled for a court appearance on August 31st.
