TULSA, Oklahoma -

EMSA in Tulsa is preparing its disaster response units, trailer, and personnel to respond to the areas impacted by tropical storm Isaac, if so requested.

EMSA's strike team is on stand by, to help communities hit hard by Isaac.

"We already have all our bags packed. We have a weeks worth of supplies bags and equipment that we need," said Kimberly Richards, with EMSA.

Twenty-two paramedics will take four ambulances, a six wheel stretcher and a trailer to the Gulf Coast if needed.

Kelli Bruer, with EMSA, said if they go, they will send a supply trailer stocked with supplies to triage and treat 150-200 patients per day for seven days, four ambulances, a six-wheel stretcher Polaris and a maintenance truck.

Bruer says EMSA can be ready to leave within 90 minutes of receiving a request.

In May of 2011, an EMSA Strike Team from Tulsa was sent to Joplin.
