Two McAlester men are in the Pittsburg County jail after a police officer tip led detectives to investigate a cache of stolen guns and other property.

McAlester Police Captain Gary Wansick says officers recovered almost $20,000 in stolen property and arrested Monterio Garfield, 18, and Daylan Wortham, 23.

Among the items recovered were 30 rifles and handguns, two flat screen TVs, three laptop computers, a city of Krebs street sign and an autographed Kevin Durant jersey.

Captain Wansick says all of the items were taken in rural Pittsburg County burglaries within the past 30 days.

Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted with the investigation and recovery of the stolen items.
