The Oklahoma Sooners women's soccer team managed just one shot on goal Sunday afternoon against Vanderbilt, but Samantha Howell made it count.

Howell scored just four minutes into the match, as OU fought to a 1-1 tie with the Commodores.

Unfortunately for Howell, she was taken out by Vanderbilt's Abby Carr shortly after her goal, and had to come out of the game.

The Commodores were unable to score in the first half, but finally broke through in the 57th minute on a blast from Cheyna Williams.

Williams' goal was the only one OU goalkeeper Kelsey Devonshire would allow for the game, making eight saves during the afternoon.

The Sooners were in scramble mode the rest of the afternoon since they were unable to put the ball anywhere near the goal the rest of the game. OU managed just six shots total for the game.

OU will be in action on Friday when they take to the road for the first time in 2012, traveling to Las Vegas to take on UNLV.
