A judge has delayed sentencing for a former Oklahoma State basketball player convicted of sexually assaulting two women at an off-campus party.
Judge Phillip Corley on Friday delayed the sentencing of Darrell Williams so he can consider Williams' motion for a new trial. The 22-year-old was convicted last month of sexual battery and two counts of rape by instrumentation. Williams has maintained his innocence.
In a motion filed with the court Thursday night, defense attorneys say they have evidence that could be used to "impeach a witness."
Reverend Jesse Jackson was in the courtroom today and the judge did the right thing.

Prosecutors claim Williams groped two women at party after a home game in December 2010.
Defense attorneys claimed Williams was misidentified. As many as 80 people were at the party, including some of Williams' teammates who wore matching Oklahoma State warm-up suits.
Judge Corley set a September 14 hearing for Williams.
