Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

The FBI has discovered the person they believe threatened a nationwide theater chain that has several movie houses in Oklahoma.

Police in Shawnee, Stillwater, Cushing, Lawton, and Ponca City investigated a bomb threat against Carmike Cinemas on August 17 after someone called the corporate headquarters in Columbus, Georgia, and left a threatening voicemail.

Police searched the businesses and found nothing.

The FBI has identified the person who made the bomb threat, but agents say the suspect is no longer a danger. The FBI has not revealed the person's name or a possible motive for the threat.
