Enid Man Arrested For Second-Degree Rape

ENID, Oklahoma -

An Enid man is behind bars facing one count of second-degree rape for allegedly having sex with an underage girl.

According to a report by Enid Police, officers arrested 20-year-old Joshua Byrum around 1 p.m. Friday after getting information that Byrum was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Police interviewed the girl, who admitted that the two had sex twice. When officers arrested Byrum, he admitted having sex with the girl once.

Byrum is being held without bond at the Garfield County Detention Facility.
