DAVENPORT, Oklahoma -

The city of Davenport has issued a boil water order because of a malfunction at the town's water tower.

The chlorination system at the water tower failed. City employees walked door to door Thursday night, trying to make sure all residents knew about the boil order. They also posted notices around town and at local businesses.

Representatives from the Oklahoma State Health Department and Department of Environmental Quality are also in Davenport helping to notify residents about the boil order.
