TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and Tahlequah Police Department are investigating a double homicide at home in eastern Oklahoma.

Someone requested a welfare check at 106 Louellen in Tahlequah. Police knocked on the door of the house, but no one answered. When officers entered the home, they found the bodies of two people.

OSBI says both bodies, a man and a woman, had significant trauma. Investigators are not saying how the victims died. They are also not releasing the names of the victims until their identities have been confirmed and their families notified.
