OKLAHOMA CITY - A motorcycle rider has been rushed to the hospital with serious injuries following a Thursday morning crash in Oklahoma City.

According to Oklahoma City police, the motorcyclist was traveling about 40 mph when he hit a deer near Reno and Cemetery Road. The man was thrown from his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The man was rushed to a hospital with a skull fracture. Police closed Cemetery Road between Reno and N.W. 10th Street while they investigated the accident and cleared away the wreckage. It reopened around 8:30 a.m.
