Let's face it, Vice President Joe Biden has never met a microphone he didn't like, and has many times been too glib for his own good. But the comments he made yesterday, in front of a racially mixed audience, make me seriously concerned about his judgment.
"Romney wants to, he said in the first 100 days, he's gonna let the big banks again write their own rules. Unchain Wall Street! He's gonna put y'all back in chains," said Biden.
Not only is that divisive and racially offensive, it's just plain weird that he would stand in front of an audience roughly half African American and try to make some bizarre joke about slavery.
The White House has had little to say about it, but I think they should apologize for Biden's remarks. What do you think?
