Grady County Fire Department To Hold Lunch Benefit

GRADY COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The Grady County Fire Department will hold a lunch benefit on Sunday to raise money to repair and replace equipment damaged during the recent wildfire outbreak.

The BBQ Dinner is planned for Sunday, August 19 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ninnekah Cafeteria. Take-out orders can be made by calling 405-574-5471 or 405-224-7434.

Proceeds from the benefit will go toward repairs needed on four fire trucks and equipment and the replacement of bunker gear that sustained damage during the Ninnekah fire that burned 9,600 acres.

Any remaining funds will be dispersed among the 12 Grady County Departments to replace worn out gear.

A raffle also will be held during the benefit. Prizes include an autographed OU football by former Coach Barry Switzer, OSU tickets and two Oklahoma City Thunder tickets.

You can make all donations to the Grady County Fire Department. By mail, you can send donations to the Emergency Management Office, 315 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Chickasha, OK 73018.
