The State Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of a woman killed in the recent wildfire in Cleveland County.

Firefighting crews discovered the badly-burned body of 67-year-old Linda Zoldoske in her wildfire-damaged home on Saturday, August 4. Zoldoske's home was located near 120th Street and Highway 9.

The medical examiner determined Zoldoske died of thermal burns. Her death was ruled an accident.

Zoldoske's house was in an evacuated area where several homes caught fire and burned. Neighbors say they tried to convince Zoldoske to leave her house as the wildfire approached, but she refused.
