My 2 Cents: First Lady Teases Olympian Gabby Douglas

Posted: Updated:

You know we've officially entered silly season when a clip from the Tonight Show of the First Lady and chiding Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas stirs up such rancor.

Here it is:

Gabby Douglass "You train you're whole life you win... how did you celebrate?

We didn't have time to celebrate, it was the team finals, the all around finals, the event finals after that. After the competition I splurged on an Egg McMuffin at McDonalds."

First Lady: "Gabby, I'm sure we don't, we don't. I'm sure it was a whole wheat McMuffin."

I've already seen the cries of government overreach, big brother telling us what to eat.

Lighten up folks it was a good natured jab from a First Lady who's made it her mission to encourage us to eat healthier, not a bad idea.

And by the way, according to my Weight Watchers guide, Egg McMuffins aren't really that bad for you.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
