News On 6 and our friends at PCC Cleaning and Restoration helped restock the water at the Basin Fire Department, north of Mannford Monday.

Other volunteer departments brought pickups to bring a load of water back to their firehouses, as well.

Thanks to your donations, cash-strapped rural volunteer fire departments can now spend their money on even more important things.

"The money that we're saving by not having to buy water and Gatorade right now is helping us to pay our fuel bills, fix our other trucks, any type of equipment we may have lost during these fires. It gives us that money to use to work on those items," Allen Fulton of the Maramac Fire Department said.

"We... are volunteers, so I mean, none of us get paid or anything. It's nice to know that the people out there do know we're out trying, at least," said firefighter Dalylia Dulyea-Polensky.

The Basin Fire crews say their newest firefighters don't have gear to fight wildfires, leaving them to face the flames in either their shirt sleeves, or gear meant for house fires.
