ALFALFA COUNTY, Oklahoma -
A toddler is in critical condition at an Oklahoma City
hospital after being run over by a vehicle Sunday evening.
The accident occurred at a private residence in Cherokee,
Okla. in Alfalfa County.
According to the police report, 32-year-old Nancy Mathis was
backing out of a drive way in a 1991 Chevy pickup around 7:50 p.m. when she hit
the child.
The child, 1-year-old Grace Ann Flaherty, was transported to
Integris Bass Hospital in Enid and later flown to Children's Hospital in
Oklahoma City suffering from multiple injuries.
It is unclear the relationship between the two or who else
may have been at the residence at the time of the accident.
