OKLAHOMA CITY -

Two people are recovering Sunday morning - including a child - after a suspected drunk driver lost control outside a southwest metro home.

It happened in the 1300 block of SW 29th near Blackwelder just after 1 a.m.

Witnesses say about five people were standing outside a home next to a car on blocks when a driver flew around the corner and slammed into the car.

A child was injured when an adult threw him to safety. A woman also suffered an ankle injury.

Witnesses say they grabbed the driver right after the crash, but he slipped away and ran off. Oklahoma City police continue to search for the driver.
