Four Oklahoma State Cowgirls were named to the preseason All-Big 12 soccer team on Thursday.

The Cowgirls' representatives include three seniors in goalkeeper AD Franch, forward Megan Marchesano and defender Carson Michalowski, along with junior midfielder Taylor Mathews.

OSU tied conference newcomer West Virginia for the most players named to the team.

Franch has been named to the All-Big 12 first team in each of her three seasons at OSU, and is a two-time All-American. She is OSU's all-time leader in shutouts and has led the conference in that department in each of the past three years.

Marchesano and Michalowski were both All-Big 12 selections last season and Mathews led the Cowgirls in scoring.

The fifth-ranked Cowgirls open up the season with an exhibition match against Arkansas on Saturday night in Stillwater.
