GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -

The viaduct bridge that connects the east side of Guthrie to the west side of town has been shut down due to buckling in the Cottonwood bridge, Guthrie Police confirm.

The buckling is taking place on the west side of the viaduct on highway 33 and is most likely being caused by the extreme heat.

The bridge will remain closed in both directions until Thursday afternoon while repair crews work to fix the problem.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
