The Tulsa Drillers' offense broke out of a recent slump in a big way Monday night, hitting three home runs in a 9-2 blowout win over the Arkansas Travelers.

The nine-run outburst is the most runs Tulsa has scored in a game since June 12, a span of 45 games. The Drillers had scored two or fewer runs in eight of its past 11 games.

Tulsa led 1-0 in the bottom of the second, when Warren Schaeffer crushed a three-run shot over the left-field wall to give the team some breathing room.

Arkansas cut it to 5-2 on a Roberto Lopez homer in the top of the sixth, but Ben Paulsen answered with a homer of his own in the bottom half of the inning to increase the lead to 6-2.

Nolan Arenado put the game away in the bottom of the eighth when he blasted a two-run homer to left to make it 8-2 Drillers.

Brandon Hynick earned the win for Tulsa, allowing two runs in seven innings pitched. Hynick lowered his ERA to 1.74.

The Drillers continue the homestand against Northwest Arkansas Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m.
