Man Convicted In Edmond Rape Sentenced To Nearly 140 Years

A man convicted of rape is set to spend 139 years behind bars.

Jeremy Scrivener was arrested in April for an attack on an Edmond woman in February 2011. In that case, police say he raped the victim several times and choked her until she almost passed out.

After that arrest, the DNA collected from the victim matched a sample in the "Combined D-N-A Index System."
