TULSA COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A month-long investigation by Owasso Police and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office has resulted in the arrest of two people on meth and counterfeit money manufacturing complaints.

The arrests of 38-year-old John Dougherty III and 18-year-old Amanda Bentley followed the search of a rural Tulsa County home north of Collinsville on East 176th Street North in mid-July.

During that search, deputies found a meth lab and also seized ammunition and several guns, including a sawed off shotgun.

"It was not like your typical shake-and-bake type lab, so it was like a full scale lab," said Owasso Police Captain Tracy Townsend.

Townsend said officers and deputies also confiscated counterfeit money and seized computers and printers.

"Those are two big problems right now, for us, that we want to take care of, and things fell in place where we were able to take care of two at one time," Townsend said.

Investigators said the home also had several things in place to give warning if anyone approached.

"Camera systems set up and the dogs in the yard, so you had to go through several boundaries in order to make access to the residence itself," Townsend said.

Dougherty faces a number of charges, including manufacturing drugs and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

Bentley was also booked on a drug charge.

Investigators said Bentley is cooperating in the investigation and they expect to make more arrests.
