Bixby police are looking for the person who blasted out the back windshield of a car today with a shotgun. But it wasn't just any car—it was a police car and it was parked at the officer's home.

The officer wasn't home at the time, but members of his family were and some of the shots went through the house and into the attic.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the officer would certainly like to know why someone would do a drive-by on his house.

Corporal Jim White was at the gym, when a fellow officer showed up and told him someone had driven past his house Monday around 9 a.m. and fired a .12 gauge shotgun. The blast shattered the back window of Jim's squad car.

"I started thinking, is this something against me, something I might've done to somebody or just something random? They just wanted to say, 'Hey, there's a police car, let's shoot it,'" White said.

Whatever the intention, White said it still feels personal, because it happened at his home, not at the police station.

Even though White wasn't there, some members of his family were and he realizes it could've been worse.

"What [would have] happened if it ricocheted and [went] through a window, someone sitting at the kitchen table or walking through the house, the wrong place at the wrong time? It happens a lot," White said.

In fact, some did go through the house. White now has some pretty good sized holes above the garage and in his attic.

After he drove his car to work, the window came out completely.

White said he's more concerned and curious than he is angry.

"You're always gonna wonder why, but you won't have that answer until you find the responsible parties," White said.

Someone did see the car the shots were fired from. The witness said it's a white Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis and has damage to the front, driver's side.
