Edmond police arrested three men and are looking for two more suspects who tried to steal an ATM machine from the OU Medical Center in Edmond.

At 2:55 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to an attempted burglary at the OU Medical Center, located at 1 S. Bryant in Edmond. Police say five men were trying to steal the ATM Machine from the entrance of the hospital.

According to police, a hospital security officer saw the five men enter the south entrance of the hospital on the security cameras. One of the men was carrying a red dolly.

The men, police say, then attempted to carry the ATM out the south door. The security officer ran toward that area of the hospital, and four men took off running out the hospital doors.

The hospital security officer said he then saw a white van speeding away from the south entrance of the hospital, and two men took off running eastbound towards Bryant.

According to hospital security, about 30 minutes before attempting to steal the ATM, two of the men entered the emergency room admitting entrance of the hospital, and walked through the hospital. Two of the men running from the scene matched the description of the two men earlier in the ER.

According to police, as officers arrived, they saw a white van parked in a private drive between the Walgreens and McDonalds. The van was not occupied.

At around 3:38 a.m., a silver four-door car with three men inside attempted to pull onto the private drive, police said. When the men saw the patrol cars sitting by the van, the driver had a surprised look on his face, and they immediately turned back onto 2nd street and continued eastbound.

Another officer then stopped the silver vehicle, and the three men, later identified as 26-year-old Taveon Deaunta Davis, 27-year-old Paul LaRue McCoy, and 27-year-old Kendrick Raynard Johnson, were taken into custody.

The three men were identified as being involved in the attempted theft of the ATM, according to police.

Police say they are looking for the two other suspects who are still at large.
