Oklahoma State running back Joseph Randle was one of 50 players named to the preseason 2012 Walter Camp Player of the Year watch list, it was announced on Friday.

The Walter Camp award watch list is the third major preseason list Randle has been named to. The Wichita native also appears on the Doak Walker Award list, which is presented to the nation's top running back, and he's been named to the Maxwell Award list, which is presented to the nation's best player.

As a sophomore, Randle had 208 carries for 1,248 yards and added 43 receptions for 266 yards for 26 total touchdowns.

Randle has been names to the preseason All-Big 12 first team by the media. He ranked second in the league and fourth in the country in scoring with (12 points per game), touchdowns (26) and rushing touchdowns (24) in earning first-team All-Big 12 recognition by the AP.

Randle's 150 points in 2011 ranks as the second-best season in school history, trailing only Barry Sanders' NCAA record-setting 234 points in 1988.

The Walter Camp watch list will be trimmed to 10 semifinalists in November and the winner will be announced on Dec. 6.
