Kick Time Set For Sooners Home Opener

Oklahoma will kick off the home portion of its 2012 schedule at 6 p.m. on Sept. 8. Oklahoma will kick off the home portion of its 2012 schedule at 6 p.m. on Sept. 8.

The Big 12 Conference announced the kickoff time for Oklahoma's home opener for the 2012 season on Friday.

The Sooners will host Florida A&M at 6 p.m. on Sept. 8 at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in the first ever meeting between the schools.

OU was won its home opener each of the past six seasons and has amassed a 36-1 home record since the start of the 2006 season. The Sooners' .973 winning percentage during that span is second only to Boise State's .974 (37-1) winning percentage nationally.

The Sooners' season opener is on the road against UTEP at 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 in El Paso, Texas.
