OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma County District Attorney has charged a pair of parents with child abuse after their daughter accused the couple of beating her and her siblings.

The 14-year-old girl told police her parents Vidal Bonilla and Vitalina Lopez came home on June 27, and became angry when they discovered an uncle helping her, and her 10-year-old brother and 4-year-old sister, clean the house.

The teen said Bonilla and Lopez began hitting all the children with a long piece of rope, a belt with a large buckle, and the cord and hose from a vacuum cleaner. The children also reported being punched and kicked.

Officers noted in a police report that the children were covered in abrasions and welts.

Both Bonilla and Lopez were charged with one count each of child abuse.
