Jury selection begins for a Pottawatomie County stepmother accused of child abuse that led to the 2009 death of her young stepdaughter.

Court records show Jennifer Jimenez has 27 complaints against her for beating, choking and force feeding 6-year-old Alexis Morris and another sibling.

Doctors, teachers, neighbors and even the children's mother filed the complaints to DHS, but the kids were allowed to stay with their father and Jimenez. Morris died while in their care.
