The state medical examiner's office says a Lawton woman found dead in a sport utility vehicle suffered two knife wounds and that either of them could have been fatal.

The Lawton-Constitution reports that Melissa Bost suffered one wound that cut her carotid artery and another that severed her vertebra in her neck. The medical examiner said Bost also suffered a knife wound to her cheek, cuts to her hands and trauma to her head.

Police have arrested 44-year-old Manuel Daniel Jr. of Altus for first-degree murder in Bost's death. Daniel has denied any involvement in or knowledge of Bost's death.
