OKLAHOMA CITY -
Oklahoma City 911 dispatchers were forced to temporarily move to another facility Wednesday when some equipment began sparking and smoking.
Smoke was seen in an electrical room around 9 a.m. While dispatchers moved to another facility, 911 calls were switched to a backup system. There was no interruption to emergency services.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department says all the equipment at the dispatch center is undamaged, and the dispatch center should be up and running within a few hours.
