Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Train In Norman Identified

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Police identify the man who was killed late Monday night when he was struck by a train in Norman.

Police said Bobby Bruce Kinsey, 36, of Norman died after he was hit by a cargo train heading south near Highway 9 and Classen Boulevard. It happened around 10 p.m. Monday, July 9. Kinsey's body was pushed about a fourth of a mile south.

It's not known why he was on the train tracks. Norman police and special agents with the Burlington-Northern-Santé-Fe Railroad are investigating the fatal accident.
