The 3-year-old girl who was abducted by her father on Tuesday has been found safe and is back with her mother Wednesday night, according to authorities.

The girl's father, 32-year-old Robert Almon, is now in police custody along with his estranged wife, Michelle Wilson, for allegedly harboring the fugitive.

Almon and his daughter, 3-year-old Chasity Almon, were found at an apartment complex in Norman Wednesday evening. Dozens of armed police SWAT officers descended upon the complex and rescued the toddler after nearly two days of searching.

Chasity had been missing since around noon on Tuesday. That's when sheriff's deputies tried to arrest Robert Almon in Tecumseh for assault with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators tell News 9, Almon drove off in a pickup with Chasity and a 10-year-old family friend inside. The 10 year old was found safe Tuesday after Almon dropped him off on the side of a county road.

Almon is facing kidnapping charges, among many others. He was transported back to Pottawatomie County Jail. Wilson was booked in Cleveland County.

Chasity was not harmed during the ordeal.
