Norman Police Make Five DUI Arrests During Checkpoint

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Police officers in Norman made several arrests during a DUI checkpoint Friday night.

According to police, officers checked 373 vehicles during the four-hour long checkpoint. Five drivers were arrested for driving under the influence.

Two other people were arrested for public intoxication, police said.

Norman police say they will continue to work with the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office to reduce intoxicated driving on Oklahoma roadways.
