OKLAHOMA CITY -
Helping veterans get where they need to go in Oklahoma City is a mission for one man.
Air Force veteran Matthew Potter created the charity "Troops 2 Vets," to help fellow veterans who just need a ride. Saturday his charity held a car wash and all money raised will go towards the purchase of vehicles that will provide free rides to Oklahoma's finest.
Potter said he knows all too well the reality of what these men and women face each day.
"I needed a ride and had to depend on family and taxis," Potter said. "Finally, I said enough is enough and I'm going to give my veterans a ride, no matter what time of day."
And he does. Potter even pays for the gas himself right now and uses his own car to transport local veterans.
Potter hopes to hold more fundraisers this summer.
